Lake of The Woods

Lake of the Woods (Schkam Lake) is a small but beautiful lake just off the Trans-Canada Highway in the Fraser Canyon area. This is not really a park, it’s a rest area. There are nice picnic tables so you can defiantly stop here and cook a meal, take a dip in the lake, catch some Rainbow Trout or just relax and soak up the breathtaking views. Getting to the water is a steep incline but it’s worth the effort. There are non-flush toilets and this rest area is accessible from either direction on the highway. The closest town is Hope.
