Nicola Lake

Only a 3-hour drive from Vancouver BC, and with over 20 species of fish, Nicola Lake offers the outdoor enthusiast many recreational activities, including swimming, boating, windsurfing and much more. To visit the lake, from Merrit BC, drive eastbound on Highway 5A along the southeastern shores of the lake for approximately 21 kilometres. This scenic highway offers several viewpoints of Nicola Lake and a roadside boat launch. Nicola Lake is also accessible from within Monck Provincial Park.
